Starting with the Bicentennial Class of 2002, class rings from USMA graduates have been donated to WPAOG for inclusion into the gold used for the rising First Class rings. The Ring Melt is held at the Pease & Curren Refinery in Warwick, Rhode Island every March. Donors, families, local graduates, cadets, USCC and WPAOG attend. To date, 293 rings have been donated and melted. Each year, a sample is retained from the melt to be included in the next year's event. This program is a meaningful celebration of the tangible connection between past and future graduates.
